Hello! Welcome, at last, to the big one. We are back at the MCG on a beautiful Melbourne Saturday afternoon for the AFL grand final, and it feels so good.

At the end of a long season, one which has proven as close and thrilling as any in recent memory, it’s Geelong and Sydney left standing in the race of the ultimate prize. Two of the great clubs of the modern era, who have largely defied footy gravity to remain at the pinnacle of the game for well over a decade. For one of them, this will be their masterpiece.
